Bio: Pat Bajari is Professor of Economics at the University of Minnesota and is currently serving as a Vice President and Chief Economist for Amazon.com. He has served as a managing editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, and an associated editor at the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics and Quantitative Economics and Marketing. His research is primarily in the areas of industrial organization, applied econometrics and quantitative methods. He has written papers on the econometric analysis of strategic behavior, demand estimation, hedonic price regressions, the empirical analysis of contracting, collusion and electronic commerce."

Bio: William Pulleyblank is Professor of Operations Research in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United StatesMilitary Academy, West Point. He joined the faculty in 2010, after a career that spanned both academia and business. His previous position was IBM Vice President, responsible for launching the Business Analytics and Optimization function within IBM Global Services. He has served on a number of boards and advisory panels, including the Advisory Committee of the Division of Mathematics & Physicial Sciences of National Science Foundation. In 2008, the Blue Gene project which he led was awarded the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. In 2010, Dr. Pulleyblank was elected to the National Academy of Engineering.
