Use of Eviews and renting your copy

The class will involve a fair amount of computation.  I will be using a software package called Eviews for lectures and will provide support in the class for this package.  Eviews now offers a 6 month rental EViews 10 University Edition for Windows and Mac for $49.95.  It is basically the full version and does everything we need for the class.  The link is here

Note that it can take one business day to get the activation code for your software once you have downloaded it.

You will need to order the software using a university email account (any university email account will work, not just U of C).  While there is a free “student lite” version, it doesn’t do everything we need for the class so you will need to purchase the rental.
