About Christopher K. Hsee

Christopher K. Hsee received his PhD in social psychology from Yale University and is the Theodore O. Yntema Professor of Behavioral Science and Marketing at Chicago Booth. A leading behavioral scientist, Hsee studies topics ranging from theoretical issues in social psychology, decision-making, emotion and happiness, to more applied issues in consumer psychology, marketing, management and cross-cultural comparisons. Hsee has published in many top academic journals, including Psychological SciencePsychological BulletinJournal of Consumer ResearchJournal of Marketing ResearchJournal of Personality and Social Psychology, Management Science, Marketing Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision ProcessesTrends in Cognitive Science, and more. Hsee is a Fellow of APS (Association for Psychological Science), a recipient of the Distinguished Scientist Award from SCP (the Society for Consumer Psychology), and a recipient of the Phoenix Award and the McKenzie Excellence in Teaching Award from Chicago Booth. Hsee has also served as the President of the Society for Judgment and Decision-Making.
